2000-01-19 - 14:44:06 big headlines today, "the anti-missile missile fissiles." who is watching the back door, or the front as well - - - - and what are they going to use. a six gun ? geez, if everyone would just focus on feeding the hungry there would probably be less hostility smeared over this globe. buying the candidates, the richest are front runners. seems to me though that the way candidates are selected, each side comes up with a man who is so far to the middle - - - he could be called a candidate for the other side......but he talks as if the other side is peopled by devils incarnate ?????
so the richest mediocre man gets the job, read my lips as they flutter in a raspberry. violence, my god the comparison between now and when i was a boy is truly stretched to the snapping point. you can throw money at it and laws at it and outlaw this that and the other, it still is not working. when we were kids, we read all the gory, gooey, slash and burn stories. this was before cartoon mags came out - - - but even so cartoons could never, never compete with the pictures in our heads. whether it was cops 'n robbers, cowboys 'n indians, world war 1 stuff we waded hip deep in blood all the time and died a million times. but we new fiction and we knew reality, and the big difference between them. i don't know whether this generation of kids whose parents both work, living in bedroom communities and seeing the parents for a brief time at the dinner table before the adults go in and watch tv, can be retrieved, looks sorta grim from my way of looking because they have not truly been taught right from wrong AND the difference between play and reality. 0 comments so far
