Fires ?

Everywhere the world over a fire of some kind is burning. In the western United states forests are burning and taxpayers money is also being burnt by the expense of fighting fire. In the Mideast fires of hate are consuming so many people as also happens in other parts of our world. Of course fires of greed are alight in upper echelons of our corparate structures, and burn in political pork barrel projects.

Of course the fires of greed have ever burned in the hearts of man I guess but seem to be increasing in intensity.

I see our airlines are trying to make obese passengers buy an extra seat if a he or she might lop over into another seat. Not too many years ago I was seated between two obese passengers and was almost stifled. Now just why the hell are the airlines trying to make the obese pay for something that is the airlines fault and driven by profit motives ? I do have a memory of being a passenger on a commercial aircraft once when there was plenty of legroom and the seats were wide enough for anyone not morbidly obese. Over time the seats have been placed closer together so as to fit more people the length of the aircraft, the almost knee to chest posture in the present day airliners. It seems to me that the seats are getting narrower too. My opinion is so that they can get three people seated on one side of the aircraft by the squeezing which also crowds the other side of the craft too. This situation is ridiculous. I once made the remark to someone, "If the trend continues people will file into an airliner - step sideways into a space - elbow to elbow then will have to remain standing the entire flight. No potties either, shoot -- its bad enough now trying to cram oneself into one of those miniscule cubbys where a man has to be a contortionist to take a pee without having to visit a chiropractor after flight. Greed, Profit, extracting the most money from the most people for things of less actual value.

Uncontrolled fire of whatever kind is tragically destructive and seems to be brightly burning the world.

So, who can possibly put out these horrendous Fires ? . . . . . . . . .
