Is This Where I Came In ?

In a bold effort to make peace the Israelis bulldozed dozens of Palestinian homes in the Gaza Strip. So what's the next step ? Carpet bombing them ? Nice try Israeli Dove Of Peace.

A small item in from Laramie, Wyoming. Seems like a 21year old man is trying to plead innocent of the deaths of people in the car he hit on US 287 recently. The technicality ? Seems as if he did not give the police permission to do a blood alcohol test. Although the test taken showed he was drunk, he wants that evidence thrown out of court. No evidence, not much of a case. Aaaargh !

And then there is Enron . . . . . A big flap of course, a big disaster you know it. Hundreds of people out of work, people have lost essentially their future income at retirement because they were not allowed to cash in stock held in their accounts. Stockholders losing their money and possibly becoming destitute. And the smoke plume from the hiding of guilt is super thick it appears to me. The firm who did the audit admits that a "significant number" of documents were destroyed sounds like the "Missing 18 minutes in the Nixon tapes ?" Every big wig in a large circle, holding hands now and saying, "We didn't know nuthin." What ? Nobody watching the store ? No one doing the supervising to keep something like that from happening ?

I quote from Ron Fournier's AP article, "It is now clear the White House had knowledge that Enron was likely to collapse but did nothing to try to protect innocent employees and shareholders who ultimately lost their life savings," said Rep. Henry Waxman, D-Calif."

No Monica in this case, but the blather is so knee deep here and the Republican Bush spokesman Ari Fleischer urged Democrats to avoid "Partisan witch hunts, endless investigations or fishing expeditions." Democrats hope to make a political issue out of the administration's many ties to Enron."

One man couldn't keep it in his pants and lied about it, but just how many people got hurt other than Hilary and their daughter ? How many life savings were lost ? How many jobs disappeared --- Poof ? ? ? ? But the Republicans seem to have forgotten all the furor they raised over a man doing something like that. Also trying I guess to ignore that some of the foaaming at the mouth Republican Hue and Cry types had been running around without any diapers before and during that time.

I don't remotely condone what Clinton did and I sure as hell as a good union man and citizen am going to scream for the offended Enron employes and the stockholders, "They was robbed." Robbed they were and their subsistence will come out of the taxpayers pockets -- that's you and me son.
