Dec. 14, 2007 - 20:13 MST PREPS It is a lovely thing when Christmas works its wonders in so many ways. Thinking about the years that Heather and I have done our thing together in preparation for the Holy Day. Today as the snow fell, increasing as time went on, we'd look out the window as we made sugar cookies. We have been doing that so many years that the routine is perfected, and the result is so sweet. She adds her special thing to some, sprinkles of various kinds and favors me with a bunch of jus' plain ole cookies. I have threatened to sneak in some anise instead of vanilla extract and perhaps some almond extract in the other batch. But she watches me close. We bake, cool and Heather puts them in boxes for family folk who love them too. Tomorrow I expect we'll do fudge for all our chocaholic relatives too. Takes us a bit longer now, but we get it done - - - all in fun. Shoulder hurting, so shall sign off and get ready for tomorrow's PREPS . . . . . . . . . . . 0 comments so far
