2000-02-22 - 10:28:34 old man, you are in a new day but with the age old enigmas that have existed from the beginning, only complicated by the present. The "now" motto seems to be, "do unto others before they do unto you," implies, i think, that you should do someone harm before they have the chance to hurt you. In many cases that seems to be true. But, But, But that is paranoid, isn't it ? Indira Gandhi said, "you can't shake hands with a closed fist," which is opposite of what i just wrote. I have found it to be true if i meet the oncomer with a smile, usually the smile (and the mood) will be returned. Now and then a paranoiac will drop a stumbling block at your feet. The big question is, do you jump it, walk around it or join battle with the bitter one ? Quid pro quo ? Tit for tat ? Blow for blow ? Kneel at the starting blocks and flail indiscriminately at those around you ? Seems to be the S.O.P. today. But.........why ? 0 comments so far
