Oct. 12, 2006 - 20:23 MDT SAY WHAT ? One of those wee articles buried in the back of the paper under National Briefing is an article that raises more questions in my mind than it satisfies. Herewith quoted in full: District Of Columbia 70,000 REFUGEES CAN ENTER U.S. IN THE NEXT YEAR Washington -- "President Bush said Wednesday that up to 70,000 refugees from around the world can be admitted to the United States in the next year." "The president laid out maximum numbers to be accepted from each region of the globe: ## 22,000 from Africa. ## 11,000 from East Asia ## 6,500 from Europe and Central Asia ## 5,500 from the Near East and South Asia ## 5,000 from Latin America and the Caribbean." "The remaining 20,000 can be allocated by the State Department to various regions as the need arises." ++++++++++++++++++++++++ What I'd like to see is the full run down on how many aliens (in total) will be allowed to come into this country on a permanent basis, for what reasons and from what countries - - - and the reasons why they will be allowed. In other words I would like to see the whole picture rather than just bits and pieces, now and then when advanced for Press Release purposes. Just dribs and drabs here and there on dull days doesn't do much for this old guy. And, just thinking about it, what bit of skullduggery is this news bit supposed to be hiding ?
