2000-02-10 - 01:04:44 what is up with the system ? doesn't seem to work very well any more. denver's police cheif goes of to hawaii and a "no-knock" raid to the wrong house resulting in the "wrong man" getting blown away. and the chief wasn't in country - he didn't do it - but i guess one of his policemen made some false statements to get a warrant for the no-knock. not only the police chief of denver, but other politicians and local war lords traipsing around the globe to attend "very important stuff" which usally takes most of one morning, and the rest of the time is play time all accomlished on our tax dollars. of course public officials should be more responsible and perseverant about keeping order and seeing that all the hired help live by the rules. but i have the suspicion that in the case of denver police, morale had been on a downhill slide prior to the junket. i just get the feeling when all our big vip's are off traveling around, that nobody is really watching the store. it would be nice if the citizens of the united states forced a referendum calling a halt to official and political travelling except on extreme necessity and only with the approval of both houses. or by the city council if a town is in the act - - but why on earth do people like police chiefs ride rapidly off in all directions hollering there he goes. rank has it's privileges - - but i don't think any of those perks should include absences from the job to the point they cannot return in a matter of two or three hours. but how am i to know right from wrong, i only know what mom and dad told me. a good part of their teachings covered - be on time - be dressed neatly - do your work - don't rock the boat - be courteous and respectful and above all be honest. all i know is what they taught me. what did their folks teach them ? 0 comments so far
