Xeroxed ?

Sometimes it seems as if we are on a weird carrousel lumpy, wobbling alternately speeding and then slowing almost to a stop, only to begin spinning madly while the machinery squeals and groans. I can't get off because it never stops, but I am so tired of the same things happening over and over again.

The fighting in the Mideast continues like it has since Moses crew invaded an already peopled land. At least that is one version of what Moses people did. Whatever -- that fighting has gone on for centuries in that area with apparently no resolution in sight. The Balkans, ex Yugoslavia, Tito's domain which proceeded to fall back into its ancient way of war and cruelty and ethnic cleansing. Africa has its intermittant waves of slaughter, degradation, discrimination and forced poverty. Unrest flaring up at times in South and Central America.

Apparently no one else in the world, especially the big dogs on the block believe that old maxim, "He who does not learn history is doomed to repeat it." So the machine is stuck on "repeat" ad infinitum

Circles of corruption and graft thrive as of old. Pork barreling is still on the rise with new computerized methods. Organized crime seems to be on the way of being sanitized and made respectable -- by golly, I don't see much difference between them all. The mobsters are rougher up close, but the big money finances dope growing in Columbia and other parts of the world and because of the attempted interdiction of various forces, the price of drugs rises and the big money profits. The Maquiladoras across the Mexican border, with cheap labor and unsavory practices are rapidly making a good part of Mexico a cesspool of pollution.

Must just be me tonight, but it seems as if everything is being recycled with new ungodly elements added to make the whole world worse and worse as time flutters its singed wings faltering as new abominations are multiplied and then are they Xeroxed ?
