My opinions freely expressed follow.

I walked in front of our TV yesterday and saw GeeWhiz making a frantically, fast talking pitch for privatizing Social Security. Is he in such dire straits that the diversionary sales pitch should be so strident ?

Current events recently seem to be actions one would expect in a circus, a farce, a parody or some other imaginary happenings in an land far from reality.

Seems as if there is absolutely no news from Iraq recently, real news.

No, privatizing Social Security by putting others money into the stock market of investments. Throwing possible later life income into almost the biggest gamble in the world. Investment, stockmarket things that have put rich men into ruination when they guessed wrong. And our president is talking it up at a great rate. Big question, who will actually profit from such an undertaking ? I certainly cannot see where Joe Q. Public can come out ahead.

So while the attention of the country is on that little thing and the administration going bonkers over the Schiavo case and trying to presume to take the place of the person or people truly responsible for Mrs. Schiavo's welfare and make a decision. Have they passed anything that will finance any of the consequences of their action ? Are they going to deprive Mr. Schiavo of his responsibility ?

And all along our military operations are continuing in Iraq and elsewhere wherein our people are getting killed, maimed and crippled psychologically. Why are they not doing much to better that situation ?

Oh yes, the push to make it a law that marriage is to be only between a man and a woman. Yep, big push on that one too, along with anti-abortion tactics.

The days of back alley abortions are in my memory, women who had no other choice but to try for an abortion when they knew they could not support a child, bear the stigma of having an illegitimate child and unwilling to hang that on a child of their own and facing facing total ostracism for the rest of their lives. I remember reading the articles in our news about the fatal results of such things.

All of those things are serious in their own right, of course, but I see no reason that those things should be used to hide what is actually going on in our world. Which is what recent actions look to me as being.

Then our government paying journalists and news people to put out columns etc. saying and writing federal propaganda, but not allowing it to surface that the "news" being put out is not free and independent but pure, financed propaganda.

Pah, looks to me that with all the smoke, mirrors, cacaphonic bands and streamers we are witnessing a show put on by Demented Clowns . . . . . . .
