Aug. 29, 2004 - 17:37 MDT THE WONDERING JEW Is That ? It is easy for me to work myself into a tizzy about things that could be so much worse. Makes me feel guilty. I'm not necessarily a train wrecker nor a constant complainer about things affecting us. But to bring things into focus, I did a bit of thinking. Thinking about victims of earthquakes, floods, and wars. Now there are the truly displaced people. In the present day many are living in "camps" which are basically some untenable, unfarmable slop hole. No assurred supply of food, sanitary facilities nor protection from the elements. Those in the camps in Darfur are especially bad off as the farmers are in the camps and cannot get to their farms because of the seasonal flooding cutting them off. Then I think of Job who suffered most anything unpleasant in the world, testing his faith to the utmost, physically, philosophically and mentally, and he survived it all ! Time for me to think, man, you sorry sack -- distressed over small things and not worrying about the big ones. Now, what the heck kind of a mood Is That ? . . . . . . . . . 0 comments so far
