Mar. 13, 2004 - 20:28 MST THE WONDERING JEW Juggling Jello Lagging behind, trailing even the last one. One day behind the Friday Five and still trying to play catchup. 1. - What was the last song you heard ? A. Hawaiian Wedding Song sung by Elvis Presley on a vinyl record. Don't hear it often but highly enjoy it when I do. 2. - What were the last two movies you saw ? A. - Big Fat Greek Wedding and Lost In Translation. 3. - What were the last three things you purchased ? A. - Gasoline, Freedent chewing gum and a bite to eat at Costco. What four things do you need to do this weekend ? A. - Go to Costco (already done), go to youngest son's house, Heather to cook dinner and me to help try to clean the place up a bit, take something downstairs to our locker -- OK, OK, the Christmas tree, reconcile my checking account. 5. - Who are the last five people you talked to ? A. - My wife Heather, our youngest daughter in Oregon, our youngest son, Jeannie (daisyok), our favorite waiter at Denny's. ---------------------------------------------------- Along with that, to me the complexities of modern life seem to be so very intimidating to this old duffer. Some things are already givens, Income Tax - don't make enough to file state or federal - YET. Move ? Who ? Me ? Hah, not unless our rent should go sky high, dramatically. Car, insurance up to date as well as our other bills. Supplies - pantry overflowing. The big things still threaten the world and ourselves, terrorism breaking out here and there, now Spain. A shot economy which our Pres. says shows production. A fable or outright lie perhaps. On the personal side our youngest son's battle with cancer taking a new form with both chemo and radiation to come. Which leads to overloaded plates, trying to keep the others spinning while Juggling Jello . . . . . . . . . 0 comments so far
