Puzzled

Our military folks, many of them are in Afghanistan now as well as much materiel, and associated things. Expensive to say the least.

Do we have the absurd idea that Afghanistan will be a democracy after we are out of there ? Or do we mistakenly think we will have to maintain a peace keeping force there forever ?

We are in a slump almost as bad as the Great Depression. Do the poohbahs think that we will come out of that by manufacturing armament, vehicles, combat boots ?

Now we are going to war it appears in Iraq. What about those Iranian rabid fundamentalists that were such a huge danger to our country in Kohmenis (sp) time ? Are we going in there and pacify them too ? Or was he truly dangerous to us ? Libya, are we going to have to go in there too ?

How long before our big guys in Washington realize that we are in grave danger of spreading ourselves way too thin ? Do they realize that if we do those things that possibly China and North Korea will attack us from behind ?

I firmly support and root to the max for our troops that have gone where told and are ready to follow orders when they come. We have stuck them in harm's way and it looks like there will be a lot of depopulation in the USA from our foreign military operations.

Now we must tighten our belts and make do with what little we have ? Schools suffering, Medicare going short and many, many people out of work.

We have in our country corporations that haven't paid taxes to begin with, from years back. If the aforesaid thing is true -- what the heck tax breaks are they talking about ? Income tax ? Those recent huge tax breaks that have been given the corporations and rich folks, has that money been devoted to making more jobs for the homeless families, the working poor ? ? ? ? ? Or has that money been ratholed ? There are many people who lost their comfortable retirement by letting their corporation convince them to buy and hold stock in the company until the execs unloaded their shares. The losses in 401k's, that did the same thing to many folks.

And yet, we are going to war, Johnny get your gun !

The UN seems to me to be a bunch of backbiting, fumbling, cheating idiots. Appointing the leaders of countries which support terrorists to positions on the security council ? ? ? Maybe we should serve an eviction notice on the UN and get them back to their home countries -- they sure aren't doing much good here.

France and Germany ? They owe us mega, plus and more ! Where is their backing ? I thought they are our allies. Are they making money by dealing with Iraq ?

I don't have a program or can see the scoreboard . . . who's ahead ? I am truly Puzzled . . . . . .
