Jun. 19, 2008 - 14:31 Between Bonnie, Jeannie, and Michael, (as well as family members and others) our Doug is well checked up on these days. I've put together this message to post on The Wondering Jew just to let you all know how he's doing: ------------------- Our dear friend Doug's time on the computer has been impacted by his health recently, which makes it difficult to update more often. Doug is under Hospice care getting weekly visits from a nurse and Comfort Touch Technician, as well as monthly visits from the social worker. The nurse and technician help assist with oxygen supply, medications and other necessities. Doug and Shirley's family is nearby, and there is also a network of online/real life friends that checks in with them regularly. In spite of a recent fall, Doug is doing well. His pain is under control, he is feeling good and is in good spirits. His energy isn't what it used to be, but he can still push a grocery cart and exercise using his walker.
